more about sessions

the vibe

Come on in and take your shoes off, pick out your favorite fidget toy from my box of fidgets, and settle in under a blanket or with a pillow in your lap. Don’t worry, we never put on the big light here. Natural light and lamps only. We can color or play a game while we chat to help you feel more comfortable with opening up. Need a snack or some water while we meet? I’ve got you! And don’t forget to take some chocolate to-go.

Can’t make it in-person? No problem! I offer virtual sessions as well for Texas residents, which means we can work together even if you aren’t in the DFW area. For virtual sessions, I encourage you to cultivate the same cozy space for yourself. Pets encouraged to join!

my therapeutic approach

I am a client-centered therapist at heart, and I believe that meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic alliance. When you feel safe, supported, and able to be vulnerable, real growth can happen. My approach blends mindfulness, self-compassion, parts work, and emotion-focused interventions to help you understand yourself more deeply. While I also draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) for practical coping skills, my focus is ultimately on helping you create insight and lasting change, not just short-term symptom relief.

the office!

A cozy office or lounge corner with a gray couch, colorful pillows, plush toys, a small bookshelf, and a wooden coffee table on a blue patterned rug. There are wall art, a potted plant, and a decorated door.
